Laboratory & Cryobank is a state-of-the-art male fertility medical laboratory offering a variety of services ranging from comprehensive semen analysis, to sperm preparation for use with assisted reproductive technology (ART), to cryopreservation for fertility preservation.

Our goal is to offer affordable and accessible andrology services to any man concerned about his future fertility. We strive to meet the individual needs of every patient and provide support through personalized and compassionate care.
Arizona Andrology Laboratory & Cryobank brings to Southern Arizona state-of-the-art andrology laboratory testing and sperm cryopreservation. Laboratories of this quality are only found in a few cities.
Sheldon H.F. Marks, MD
Laboratory Medical Advisor/Clinical Consultant
Dr. Marks is the medical advisor/clinical consultant to Arizona Andrology Laboratory & Cryobank and participates in all aspects of planning and supervisory activities within the lab. He has spearheaded plans to improve the quality of our semen analysis reporting and incorporate new technology into our repertoire. Dr. Marks has been working hard to educate the regional and national community and other physicians about the valuable role for quality andrology lab testing and sperm banking as a key aspect of vasectomy and reversal care as well as male factor fertility concerns. This includes men about to undergo cancer therapies such as chemotherapy, radiation therapy or surgery or men who are about to embark on dangerous occupational deployments such as those in the military being stationed oversees or in combat zones. Dr. Marks is the Medical Director of the International Center for Vasectomy Reversal, the WebMD Men’s Health expert, best-selling author, speaker and instructor. He is one of the very few urologists to teach other fertility and reversal doctors courses as a Special Master at international urology and fertility conferences for more than 11 years. He works closely with the Tactical Medics of the Tucson Police Department SWAT team as well as a board member and instructor for the Medical reserve Corps of Southern Arizona.
Peter J. Burrows, MD, FACS
Laboratory Director
Dr. Burrows is a formally trained andrologist who has dedicated his medical practice to male factor infertility and microsurgical vasectomy reversal. After completing his urology residency at University of Southern California, Dr. Burrows then entered a fellowship at the Baylor College of Medicine in Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Burrows has authored several journal articles and book chapters on the subject of andrology and male factor infertility. His goal is to provide couples having difficulty achieving pregnancy with hope through cost-effective solutions. Dr. Burrows is available for consultation for any questions or concerns regarding male factor, fertility and hormones to include testosterone deficiency.
Lindsay Rasmussen, PhD
Andrologist / Laboratory Supervisor
Dr. Rasmussen has been working at AALC since 2023 and oversees day-to-day laboratory testing. Dr. Rasmussen has her Bachelor's of Science in Veterinary Science, her Masters of Science in Reproductive Biology and Toxicology with a specialization in Embryology and Physiological Sciences, and her Doctorate of Philosophy in Reproductive Biology and Toxicology with specialization in Pharmacology from the University of Arizona. Dr. Rasmussen is passionate about providing state of the art care to her patients.
Andrea Riker, BS
Laboratory Manager / Technician
Andrea Riker has been with AALC since 2017. As the Lab Manager, she runs all aspects of the practice, from scheduling to billing. As a laboratory technician she processes specimen with non-complex testing requirements. She earned her Bachelors of Science degree from Northern Arizona University. With a well-rounded background including: legal, technical and international sales she brings the compassion and knowledge that is needed for each patient.
She is married with 4 sons and keeps busy with their activities.
